• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I have 5 pounds of prime rib to reheat. I was thinking of putting it in foil with a little au jus on sticking it on my gas grill with indirect heat. Anyone else have a better way?

Are you re-heating all 5# unsliced? I've never reheated a whole roast, but I've reheated sliced PR many many times. I'll get some au jus or beef stock/broth warm - not hot, but warm - in a pan and put slices in there just until it gets warm - the last thing you want to do is overheat it IMO. It only takes a couple minutes, i.e. don't leave your stove/oven/cooker/whatever it is you're using.

My guess with a whole roast - and this is just a guess - would be that a slow gentle warm up would be a good way to go so you can warm it all the way through without overheating the outside.

If you want to reheat the entire thing, just put it in a 250 degree oven until it comes back up to your desired temp, 130, 135, 140, etc. Will be just like it came off the smoker the first time. This is what a lot of restaurants do with PR's from the day before.
