• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I just got four 5-8lb butts on at about 5:30. The weather is going to be crap today. It's 39 right now, high of 47, rainy, with winds up to 50mph. I've got it tucked away from the wind with a good fire going, and so far so good. I'm going to slide one of my old Carhart coats over the rig to help insulate it once I finish this beer.
Wish me luck!

Good thing about cold weather cooking . u forget your beer outside. it is still cold when ya go back 2 hours later to check on the food.

The Carhart coat is working great! It's still 39 out, but my temp is steady and smokin. I am out of beer though until my wife comes back from the store.

Sorry about the beer.

What kind of cooker are you using? Can you rig a wind block or some sort?

A man after my own heart. Drinking beer at 630 am in 40 degree weather, fixing meat! And they say Chuck Norris is tough. Bert, you da man.

Well, the weather might not be cooperating but at least your wife is. When I run out of beer my wife just says, "Already?!"

Got my beer, and just to let you guys know how lucky I am, not only does my wife go get me beer, she's a hot aerobics instructor! Food is still goin' strong.
