Nope we've already spent ours! I was a good little peon and filed early this year.

Not a bit different jt, in fact it was a farm raised older animal, they tend to be gamey, so I did the tk marinade and the whole bit. Didn't take very long to cook, compared to a brisket, sorry I don't remember how long 5 or 6 hrs for a 3.5# flat shaped roast. Real tasty, especially for what I started with. Both times I've used tk's marinade I've used wild cherry pepsi, nice, very nice.Next time I've got to remember the "don't boil out the marinade" thing from that newsletter Bro. kick sent around. Serious LOW and slow mod for brisket.KC, didn't you do a chuck roast in the bandera? Anything different on that from a brisket?
TK's version: Dr. Pepper, Buillon (beef dissolved in water), chopped onion, bottled bbq sauce.Never tried TK's marinade - have to go look that up
