Quad Que smoker at Academy

Anyone seen these? It looks like a 6' pyramid with about a 2 foot base. Fire box at the bottom with water pan above the fire. Dual doors from water pan to the top. Sticker claimed it won best brisket & ribs at the Texas State Fair. Might have been 3/16". Not sure, I was in a hurry. Looked to have about 4 -5 shelves. Top shelf maybe 12"x12"? Top had folding hooks like the Bandera. I think it was around $200.

I saw it... interesting design, but looked cheaply made... if it was 3/16, then it was 3/16 of a centimeter..

I saw that too when I was down in TX. It looked cool - but the Judge is right, pretty thin. I was toying with the idea of buying it, just as a conversation piece. I wonder how the food coooked at the top of the pyramid, where ther heat and smoke concentrate would taste?

But - damn, those Acadmey stores, made me think about moving to Texas!
