• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Spent yesterday on the Harley riding in a charity Poker Run for a young teenager with brain cancer. At the end of the ride there was some pretty decent Q served. The guy served a very large portion of shredded pork, slaw, beans, bun, and some fairly mild but tasty sauce. Another Q related event during the ride was when traffic all of a sudden out in the country was backed up. As we finally made it past the problem we could see what it was, some unfortunate Q'er was towing a pit and had the right rear wheel completely come off!!:icon_smil Needless to say his day was a bit messed up. He still had a fire going in the firebox, which seemed a bit unsafe if sparks fell out and started a forest fire, but it sure smelled good when we rode by.

P.S. My three hands s$cked.

The NC Man,
3 hands??? Hey, where do you put the third one when you ride that Harely?
Kidding. Smoke ALL day yesterday for a little B day party today for the 1 year old next door. Getting my Hawg this afternoon and run her up and down the road a few times (hoping to get a whiff of Q).
Grandson (5) stayed overnight last night and wanted to camp out in the Harely Shop. He's out there right now sawing logs.
Can't get enough Q and Harleys. Is there anything else.
Smoke On!!!!

I'll have to let MrsMista know you guys are talking about bikes. She loves them.

Bikes are like BBQ. Many different tastes. My preference is a 100th ( that would be one year older than HD) anniversary '02Triumph Bonneville America.

MM, My first street bike was '78 Bonneville, bought it brand new!! I still have and I am looking at it right now the sales brochure. Black with red panels on the gas tank trimmed with gold pin stripes.

Triumph, "The Legend Lives On"

Model Man and The BBQ Man,
My brother had a Triumph Bonneville and LOVED it. He traded it in this spring for that new 3 cylinder Triumph. He says the 140 horsepower kicks some Bad *%((*&%(*&%%(* . Really likes it. Too fast for me.
Smoke Tires!!!!!!!!!

My motorcycle is a Suzuki 650 Burgman. It kinda looks like a scooter but has a 638 cc. twin cylinder engine.... Goes like a streak-o-fire

Only time I tried to learn to ride a motorcycle was at a state park on a dirt bike with a friend. As soon I rode 20 yards, the state troopers came up and caught us. Just wasn't in the cards for me.

took the Mrs out for a littel hour long ride through the catskill mountains today. Finally going through woodstock. I love to ride. Don;t do it all the time, but I love to do it. As for the bike. I wave at everyone so don't take me as snobby ;) I love the VTX. bought it when it was 2 years old and paid 6800 for it with 4000 miles. 110ci, and the thing has some serius torque. 0-60 is flat out a blast. I've only had it in 5th gear a few times as I;ve only been to 110 on the NYST. too much of a chicken I'm afraid. I tend to drive it slower than the car, and really take in the scenery. Gas mileage sucks though only about 34 to the gallon. Scott

Nice looking bike Yak! Wow, my '02 Road King gets 45 mpg or better depending on how much I twist on it. That is with my wife on the back usually heading to the Smokies and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Yeah, it's not a gas sipper, it's a gas guzzler. Some guys are getting closer to forty. Gotta stop after about 115 miles to refuel :) Probably should stop with some of the throttle twisties. But I get such a kick out of the torque. Scott

I have the little bike and the big smoker. But with everything else, I'm thrilled. Here is a pic just for fun. With a couple of mods, she'll eat up the road, and still pushes 50 mpg. The only problem is the small tank, so gas is needed every 125 miles. But after a hundred miles of the twisties, its usually time for a beer!

Nice mmayeux, my first Harley was a '70 Sportster, traded my Bonneville for it. I still like the air cleaner cover of a Sportster and have been looking for one that would fit on my '02 Road King. I still have Sportster wrist so I put a Stage II big bore kit with a mild cam in my Road King. Not quite as quick as a Sportster, but it feels good anyway when I twist it.
