• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

My employer is downsizing. We have a couple of guys at work taking early retirement offers. My shop is holding a lunch for them on Saturday, and I got asked to smoke something for the occasion, so I'm doing pulled pork.

I picked up fifteen pounds of pork shoulder today to make pulled pork. I injected it with marinade, then rubbed it with brown sugar, and a commercial Italian seasoning blend from Costco.

This will get smoked with hickory wood tomorrow, then pulled, and packaged to take to work.

Pork shoulder injection marinade

¾ cup orange juice
½ cup water
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup kosher salt
¼ cup lime juice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon granulated onion

I'll post pics of the finished product tomorrow afternoon/evening

Oops, sorry. Meant to say I picked up pork shoulder to make pulled pork.

Fixed it.

My mother-in-law has problems remembering to put her stuff away after she uses it.

Maybe he's getting ready for thanksgiving. Popcorn stuffing! You fill the bird with popcorn and when it blows the butt off of the turkey it's done. Could work on the pork shoulder...

Just kidding, sounds like a great plan for the pulled pork.

Pulled pork sammich with homemade slaw, and butternut squash-tomato soup with andouille sausage.
