Prime Brisket in Costco- WA state

Went into my local Costco today (non business costco) and picked up some nice looking whole Prime briskets at $2.79lb. Never have seen them there before and just passing it along for anyone in the area.

Seems to be something that has popped up in the past 6 months at costco. I think I've bought 5 of them or so around ~2.99-2.79

Same here. Went in yesterday and I always look in hopes that they show up locally. Only had choice grade.

Buy it by the case and it goes down to $2.68

ckelly-been a member since that place opened, and always bee line to the meat case to look for packers. I only found packers 1 time right before the start of last NFL season (choice)- was really shocked to see Prime there.

Leftwngr - what do you do with a case of brisket? Freeze, hold, cook it all?

My Costco is inconsistent with packers. I have seen prime packers and lately just separated flat. I did cook the prime packer and it seemed to cook faster than my other choice packers.

Has anyone compared these primes with the CAB choice packers you can get at Sams? If yes, what were your results? Does anyone know what breed of beef Costco's prime packers are? I have one of each in my freezer and will be doing a blind taste testing in the near future.
