• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Has anyone done a pork tenderloin in there reverse flow ? I have got the Shirley fired up and getting ready it is a 9 1/2 pound tenderloin I cut it in half seasoned with garlic McCormick seasoning and a little dizzy dust I'm thinking I'm going to cook this at right around 250 target Meat temp 145 does that sound right? Thanks Ohiophil
 
That sounds about right foe the pork loin you are cooking. I would cook at a higher temp do to the low fat content. If it is on the smoker too long it may dry out. Internal temp is spot on. Be sure to let it rest 10 minutes before cutting.
 
How big was the hog with a 9 pound tenderloin? I can only find them in 1 pound range here. Got two in brine at just over a pound each.
 
Sorry I never seen the hog LOL Sam's Club had them $1.77 a pound i'm taking the smoker up to 285
 
I think you are cooking a loin, not a tenderloin if it's 9-1/2 pounds...... 2 different cuts of meat and completely different in size.

Smoke low and finish at 325 to 350°

Last one I cooked, rubbed with yardbird wrapped with a bacon weave. Pulled at 140*. The bacon wasn't cooked all the way but the loin was fantastic. Cold the next day, best sandwich meat ever.
 
Sorry yes pork loin it turned out great took the temp up to about 285 cook for an hour and a half took off at 145 let rest for 10 minutes sliced here's a couple pics, oh and did I say the shirley works great !!!
