Pork Prices

Is pork on sale in your neighborhood? This week, butts, picnics and country ribs (from the butt, not the loin) are $1/lb. Spares are $1.88

Just curious if this is a nationwide thing.

Starting Friday Albertson's is doing pork loin chops 10 lbs. for $10 along with doubling coupons up to $2. New ad won't be out here until tomorrow, with the rest of the sales.

Unfortunatley Albertson's pulled out of San Antonio about 3 years ago so we no longer see anything resembling decent sales on meat anymore

I ussually get mine at Sams. $1.12 a lb, 2 in the pack. I did find some a few weeks ago at the Evil Empire for .96 a lb.

A local butcher here has butts for $1.65/lb.

Thanks for the info! Albertson's had a BIG pork shoulder sale: $0.88/pound - down from $1.99!!

Too bad I only have freezer space for a couple. Mama-in-law is bringing free beef down from Iowa today.

4# cryovac'd pork loins are down to $1.59# at Meijer here.

Gonna pick up 3 or 4 for the Spring, then hit the Stuffing Pork Loin thread in Roadmap. Still a ton of things there I want to try

Pork is down some - not quite what you're reporting, but BB are under $3.00 per pound, butts around $1.40ish, and I got some trimmed spare ribs for $2.17 per pound - really nice slabs with the brisket off. Sam's up in New Port Richey had some gorgeous whole, I mean whole, fresh hams -- didn't check per pound but these things were huge.

Boneless loins $2.00, Butts $1.29. That's as low as it gets around here. Freezers are full and I can't take advantage of it. I walked away from $5.99 prime rib. I need another freezer.

prices have been generally lower here for quite some time. $2.99 for BBs at Sams and Costco. I'm getting nice spares for $1.49 frequently at local grocers

Anywhere from .99 to 1.49/lb for butts here, 2.29 to 2.99 for spares and 3.99 and up for BB's. 1.99 for loins on sale (I don't even want to tell you what the regular price is :shock: ) but once in a while you can get 'em for .99.

On Sunday at Restaurant Depot on LI I paid the following

Bone in pork butts - $1.09
babyback ribs - $2.48
Superior Angus Brisket - $1.89 (I think)...
