Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I have been pretty quiet recently, and I almost didn't take a picture of this... Then I thought to myself "no pics, didn't happen." It's hard to improve on something as close to perfect as a Pittsburgh Steak Salad, but here it goes. Protein is a tri-tip smoked to 120 in the Davy Crockett and then reverse seared in a cast iron skillet. Fries are fresh cut and fried in peanut oil.

Just my take on a Pittsburgh steak salad (iceberg, tomatoes, English cucumber, tri-tip, french fries, shredded mozzarella and of course ranch).

I had to Google Pittsburgh Steak Salad (was a little scared, if ya know what I mean) but that looks tasty.
I would definitely feed on that. :clap2:

I'm a resident expert. That's looks pretty dang good! A lot of places serve them with cheddar.

Moved from PA to TX 5 years ago (grew up in Pittsburgh and lived most of my adult life in NW PA), and I still have this crazy urge to put fries on my sandwiches and salad LOL.

Same here, except I moved to Indiana

Good news is Primanti Brothers is going national! They are opening in Indianapolis later this year. None of em can compete with the original downtown, but hey they are still dang good!

Interesting, I didn't know that. I hope they do well. They are best suited for an industrial area or a bar area. Location in Pittsburgh Strip District nailed the best of both worlds.

They've had a Primanti's in Fort Lauderdale for years. Funny thing is that they're popular for their pizza in FL and not the traditional sandwich. (try the Thai restaurant above Primanti's in FL; good food and a great view overlooking the ocean.) I go to the original in the Strip every few weeks; pastrami with fried egg!
