• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Ok, Per all the threads and the 101 info here's what I did.

Sprayed the entire unit (in and out) with 3 cans of dollor store canola oil and used the grate to elevate my fire rack. I also used some 1/4" SS I had to block the top of the fire box to help some. Using a load of charcoal to get started and then adding wood from there on.

Now I get to baby this for a couple of hours :-D :-D

Never seen the firebox mod - would have come in handy during those MD winters. Your smoker will never look the same again once you start cooking but it will always smell sweet.
