• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Has anyone ever used persimin wood for smoking? Did I spell that rite (Per-sim-in)? I had a guy ask if I wanted the wood, don't know what it would do to the meat.

D, the rule of thumb is any fruit or nut tree makes good smokin' wood. I haven't heard of anyone here trying it, but it's worth burning a stick or two and seeing how it smells.

It has been used but I couldnt find any descriptions on flavor..Has anyone used Redbud?

Let me know how this works for you. I have a few old wood headed golf clubs that need to be burned.

The spelling is "Persimmon." It's definately a fruit tree. I'd say try on something cheap
