Never had it before but have read comments on how good it is so gave it a whirl. Bought Nando's per peri hot sauce fromt jet and they accidentally sent me 4 bottles for the price of 1 so that was cool. The sauce is goood. I was lazy and poured some of that in a bag with the quarters for an overnight rest. Injected and then rubbed down. I left out the cayenne and crushed red on my wife's chicken since she can't tolerate heat.

Cooked on the big joe at 350 indirect til 160 then to the direct to sear it up. Hit about 175 finish temp which I prefer for dark meat.

All seasoned up and ready to go

Man this was good! The citrusy sauce with the heat is a great combo and the chicken was incredibly tender. I went with fries cause that's what I saw a lot when googling nandos peri peri but I'd do steamed rice next time instead and a veg. Thanks for lookin'!

Looks good Cake! I keep meaning to try this too, better get off my duff! Which variety of Nandos did you get?

Looks great. Haven't seen this recipe before. I will have to look it up for sure!

Oh that's what that sauce is for! My papa bought some last time he was out visiting. I've been mixing it in with my finishing glaze on my ribs. I will agree it's pretty tasty stuff....have to go easy though cause my Mexican wife can't handle the heat

Sounds interesting. Never heard of it before...

Good looking plate...

I absolutely love Peri Peri chicken.

Great job!

This is what I used for a rub.

Ingredients
1 teaspoon Salt (I like to use Black Salt)
½ teaspoon Cinnamon powder
½ teaspoon Cardamon powder
½ teaspoon Powdered Sugar
½ teaspoon Ground dry Ginger
2 teaspoons Paprika
2 teaspoons ground Cayenne Pepper or Piri Piri Pepper
1 teaspoon Hot Pepper Flakes (Chilli flakes)
2 teaspoons Garlic powder
2 teaspoon Oregano

You can adjust any spice amounts to suit your taste

This restaurant is popping up in higher-end suburban strip shopping centers/outdoor malls all over. Their food is very good, if a little pricey. You can buy their sauces there. Think of it like a Pei Wei for Peruvian food. Same kind of shopping areas.

Great looking plate cake!

Ate at Nandos restaurants in South Africa all the time when I lived there. The chicken is excellent.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. Definitely encourages to take pics of my cooks!

It is a great squirt gun too:)

Thank you for posting. Stopped by The Fresh Market and found Nando's Peri Peri sauce. I guess chicken is on the menu this weekend.
