• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share some pics with you of my new Spicewine Thurmanator. This is a one of a kind charcoal or wood burning OVEN, not another one like it. The only one in existence.
This was built to cook just like your oven at home except that its heat source is from charcoal or wood. We had our first cook in it on Saturday. My wife put some home made frozen chocolate chip cookie dough in the oven. The cookies came out just awesome.
The oven was easy to keep the temps up in, but I will need to experiment with it more till I learn how many coals to add to maintain a particular temperature. I first seasoned the inside of the oven with lard to protect the metal from rust. Then we cooked in it. After the cookies I ran the temps up to 450 degrease I used 2 1/2 charcoal chimneys in the entire cook. .I started at 12:30 pm and at 10:30 pm I went to bed, the oven temps were still running 330. My wife is planning on using this oven in competitions that have desserts and sides but we will also use this at home alot . I welcome any suggestions or comments.

Sounds cool. If you get a chance pics would be appreciated.

Very cool. I want to start adding other smokers to my backyard patio so I can put them all around the edge of the patio and call it my smoke ring.

Can you explain how this works, I am assuming the cookies are not smoked. Can it be used as a smoker?

Cookies! Yum-o!

Who is this Spicewine that you speak of? :-D :-D He sounds like a farking genius!

Interesting design. Looks like it works great!

"Spicewine Thermanator" the 21st century version of the Monarch. Obscure reference. I've got an old Monarch wood fired kitchen range I'm restoring.

The cookies are not smoked. The oven chamber is completely sealed from the charcoal or wood chamber, the charcoal heats the metal from the bottom and the back of this oven. This was designed to be an oven only, it is a non smoker.

Spice is the man, he sure knows his chit. That is thing is sweet. Love the name....the THURMANATOR. Spice, you had better get that thing patented.

Congrats on the new cooker.

BUll

Hey Jay, are you going to add this to your product line?

Skip is still running test cooks on it at this point , but it could be on the market very soon!! It kind of reminds me of Sponge Bob!

BTW-- Skip's last name is Thurman, thus "Thurmanator"

With the right paint it could be Sponge Bob. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
If you could price this competetively Spice, it beats the chit out of a Cambro IMO.
