There is a lot of teams from New York. I was born in Buffalo, so I know that are quite well. You guys are not far from Cleveland at all.

You are receiving this email because you expressed an interest in Oinktoberfest, took the Judge's certification class, already signed on for this year, entered a team, judged at a previous event, signed up for our email list or just love BBQ.

TEAMS
There are still a few spaces left for Saturday's KCBS competition. Both of Sunday's contests are still open. The application is HERE. For questions or more information contact George at 716 759 4328 or by email.

JUDGES
We still need judges & volunteers. KCBS certified judges get priority on Sat for judging but there is always room for volunteers & table captains & there is still room at the KCBS Judge's Certification Class. For an application go HERE.

There will be an orientation both days so please get there on time. Early check-in is helpful since there are always no shows... just like the airlines. I've learned the hard way about not having enough people on hand. We'll even take standbys.... there is always something to do when there are this many teams. For the schedule: Click HERE.

Remember check-in both Sat (9/27/08) and Sun (9/28/08) is between 10:00AM & 11:00AM. Admission is free for all judges & volunteers. Just let them know at
the gate that you are judging.

We are really looking forward to this one again this year.

We had soo much fun last year.

Hoping to repeat our desert score from last year :-D and improve our meat scores (they were embarrassing).It may have had to do with Rich's Chocolate cake shots and Kenny's Tequila. LOL

Hope Dallas doesn't have a repeat of last year.

We're looking forward to it too! Nice to not drive cross-country for a change.

Aaron - there is no "big name" band this time around. The musical genre of the weekend will be Blues. The lineup is rumored to be very good. Should be great.

Rob - if you're cooking with Dallas, then your Pig Pass is revoked!:wink: Frankly, we're a little disappointed - we were looking forward to learning all of the "secrets" Dallas has been imparting as of late....:lol:

I just hope we have good weather. Its always a roll of the dice around here in late Sept.
