Well guys, I will be picking up the new Spicewine this coming Friday.

What kind of oil, and how much, will I have to take with me to season the inside?

How do you apply the oil?

Any other materials I will need?

Any special procedures for the seasoning? Temps, times, wood?

Anything to make sure I do/not do?

I want to break her in right in KY at the Woodford Distillery.

I thought all you had to do was take it somewhere, open it up and the drool from the crowd that gathers seasons it for you:biggrin:

seasoned

I believe just cooking in it will season the spicewine, well at least thats what I've been doing:wink:

Sprayed My Klose down with Peanut oil. Heated to 150 to 200 for three hours. Then pumped it up to 350 choked it down so it would smoke heavily and went all night.

I was thinking about using peanut oil and putting it in one of those pump up oil sprayers similar to this one and spray the interior of the cook chamber and cooking shelves/racks.

I have never heard anyone say, should you season the interior of the charcoal chamber as well or would it get too hot in there?
