• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I am in search of Quer's in the 3 state area listed above for a event I am putting together @ Turfway Horse Track in Florence, KY. It is going to be a BBQ/BLUES Fest - one day only and hoping to be very large in size. Date is being worked out now for sometime in Sept. I will know all the details this Thursday. I want it to be as local as possible. Please submit any questions to me.

Our goal is to draw at least 15k people and bring in a National Blues Act as the headliner. Maybe we could convince BB King or Eric Clapton to play?

Lots of Dept. of Health issues to be worked out the way you are doing it.

Keep in mind that there's going to be a bbq competition in northern cincy the weekend of September 15.

It's at Jim Dandy's BBQ on Sharonville Rd.

If you call the restaurant and talk to Jim, he can give you more details. I'd just hate for 2 events in the immediate area to try to split teams, especially since I'm hoping that this comp becomes sanctioned next year. It's feast or famine! :)

I will try to mark that date out. Don't want to interfere with that. I hear that Cincinnati is having troubles with BBQ and getting people to latch on, that is why I am exactly trying to put a large BBQ festival together. However I have some big backing to help promote it - think Argosy casino and Trufway park...they have a big budget. I posted in hopes that locals would respond however not many have so tells me that we ned to promote the QUE harder than ever!

i'm with ya'll, but i'll be in oregon and washington in sept so i'm gonna miss it all!

anyways, where's dapigman? and those guys from the vfw in kettering?

i'm planning a gathering of eggers soon and i reckon it's gonna be called eggstock! i've got 7 acres and a corn maze across the street so it might get interesting.

I think Curt said it is the 22,23 now for Jim Dandys........

If you are looking for help I would like to offer my assistance......

You may want to contact the Cincy Blues Sociaty for help getting someone...........

Yeah, I forgot to come over to this thread. They had a final change, but I think they'll have to stick with the 22-23 of September now.

The weekend after would be great, or the first week of October, as it starts to get a bit cooler, which is great bbq weather.

Personally, I think something in the area in May would be great, for next year.

Houston We Have A Problem. 22-23 Is Zinzinnati Oktoberfest And A Comp @ Jim Dandy's. Too Much Going On.......

I think that date's pretty well set, though. There's still Friday night for Oktoberfest!

Well, it turns out I was wrong... the date Jim gave me was off one week. It actually is the original September 15-16. I hope this is the last change!

I know being in IL I do not fit the category above but if you need any assistance on the event side of it let me know, as that is my profession. The type of event you are trying to put on is good but you may be way too late to pull it all together for this year if you don't have sponsors with deep pockets on board already.

Well the date has been set fro Sept 15th. Looks like we will now need vendors. Please inquire! Billybones will be here.
