• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

With all the talk of Oakridge on here, I decided to pickup a sampler pack. There are a couple that sound really good in this pack like the Santa Maria seasoning.

Whats your favorite and on what do you put it on?

This is the pack that I bought:

So many good choices in that kit...

Santa Maria on a nice ribeye (like I cooked last night) is the no-brainer for me.

Enjoy!

They are all completely excellent in their own different ways! I did a side by side comparison last weekend on pork ribs and couldn't pick a favorite! http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=225020

I cut the Habanero Death Dust 1 part HDD to 3 parts Dominator/Competition mix and WOW is that good! I might go to 1:2 next time. Have fun!

Black OPS and Santa Maria are my two favorites from them. Competition Beef and Pork is very good too. I'm hoping to try Carne Crosta soon.

I'm also a big fan of mixing either 2 or 3 parts Black OPS to 1 part Santa Maria on just about everything.

They are all good and all mix well. If you like spicy cut them with the HDD. I've made some of my best ribs with the dominator Rub.

One of our favorites is HDD on chicken. Chop it and grill some quesadillas with it. We use HDD straight for these. The cheese in the quesadillas tames it a bit.

We use dominator on ham steaks a lot too. Just take the ham steak, rub it with yellow mustard, coat in dominator and grill it.

Santa Maria is great on darn near anything grilled

We're partial to Carne Crosta and Santa Maria. Gonna try Black Ops on something other than brisket, see how we like that.

Black ops and Santa Maria hands down. I've got a brisket on my wsm currently seasoned with black ops. Also doing steaks tonight with Santa Maria.

Good idea on mixing black ops and Santa Maria. Haven't thought of that yet!

I bought the back yard bbq pack. So far I've tried the black ops and santa maria. The black ops turned out awesome on brisket and steak. I tried the Santa Maria on pork chops, lamb, and burger. Excellent! I've already went through 1lb pack of secret weapon and beef and pork comp. (the main reason why I purchased the BBQ pack because it came with 1lb bag of secret weapon and beef and pork comp) Got to replace those and try new stuff.

Each oak ridge product has its own unique flavor! I recommend all of them so far!

I can't wait to try the dominator rub! I MIGHT thaw out a pack of ribs in the next couple days to try it! thanks for reminding me! Can't wait to try the Carne Crosta on something. Can't wait to try a 3:1 mix of secret weapon and death dust!

Not sure what these guys put in their rubs, but I always seem to end up using them over everyone else's. Crack maybe? I bought the shakers from them too and even other people's rubs seem to taste better when I use the OR shaker. ::shrugs::

I make a tri-tip with Santa Maria at least once a week it seems like. I'd buy the 10 pounder, but I can get the 1 pound bags from my local guy for much cheaper. I certainly use enough of it though.

Secret Weapon+death dust makes the best wings I've had. SW seems to be my goto rib rub also.

Not really BBQ, but when you're getting your grill going on a weekend morning - put a little death dust in your bloody mary. Stuff is on point.

I just got a shipment on Friday and spaced on ordering Carne Crosta. Really looking forward to giving it a whirl - so have to wait till next time.

I'm just about to inject a butt with Game Changer and use the Secret Weapon rub for my cook tomorrow. I got high hopes for this stuff!

I just received the backyard BBQ package and opened and tasted them all. They are all excellent but the dominator rib rub and the black ops are the bomb. Did some pork ribs yesterday with the competition beef and pork and some with the dominator. Dominator was hands down winner. I'll be ordering a large batch of it and using on pork ribs from now on. Unique flavor!

Great Rubs all of them. We've used the Black Ops rub for all beef. Steak, Brisket with a little kosher salt and mixing some in for hamburger patties.

We use the Santa Maria even when not grilling. The Wife will mix some in with flour while frying chicken or fish.

Carne Crosta on a steak or burger is fantastic, in the future I would like to try the Santa Maria and Black Ops.

Looks like Santa Maria is a great all around rub! I've used it on lamb roast, ham burger, steaks. Fantastic. I just tried Carne Crosta on a steak last night. I figured I wouldn't care for it as much as most people do on this site. But I was wrong. I found it to be a beautiful mix of flavors. Was labeled "Charcoal Steak", normally have trouble with it not being tender, but the Carne Crosta and a open flame made it awesome!

Im going to cook on the beast tonight, heading to the butcher to get some nice Rib Eyes or something. Will try the Santa Maria and Black Ops on them tonight. I pulled out a rack of ribs, and will try the Dominator on them.
