• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Thought I would share this.

Thanks Oakridge BBQ for the great products! Real pleased with what I've purchased so far!!

This is what I ordered: https://www.oakridgebbq.com/shop/backyard-bbq-kit/

Must of forgot to get the Carne Crosta rub in the shot! Almost freaked out when I seen the picture and realized I was missing a rub! Luckily it was setting to the side!

Only rub I opened is the black ops! I was a bit worried about the flavor of black ops! took a pinch of it..... MAN should of just ordered a lb of that stuff!!

Gonna wait to open the rest to taste test. A friend wants to try the HDD!

I was goinig to say, before reading your second post, that you should've gotten the 1lb of black ops. Great stuff.

Well I was out of the Secret weapon and Beef and pork comp! I went into buying a bunch of rubs blindly last time.
So I figure since I really liked the secret weapon and beef and pork comp buying this package would give me plenty of room to try the rubs without buying 1lb bags if I didn't like them.

Gonna be awesome!

All the rubs are good to be honest. My last few briskets I have used Black ops with excellent results.

You will likely wet yourself with joy when you apply the Carne Crosta to a well marbled steak or burger. I like to paint the meat with olive oil first to help it stick and form the crust. Oh man is it GOOD!

I second this :thumb:

Thanks alot! After reading this thread I was forced to go to Oakridge's site and order some rubs and brine. This is what will happen if you keep reading threads on this site.:help:

Damn you. I've been to their site at least five times in the last month. Now I'm headed there again..... With my credit card out!

Enjoy!!! What did you order? Whatever it is, I know its good! I'm not 100% sure why the carne carsta is such a hit! Of course I haven't tried it on a steak yet! I've never had coffee based rubs! Gonna be interesting!

Crazy good rubs! Your going to have some Fun with that package!

does anyone know if their 5lb and 10lb bags come in resealable packages like the lower versions?

Oakridge rubs are great! Customer service is awesome also.
Just got some delivered the other day. Carne Crosta, Game Changer...

I would say yes to your question.

Put it on HEAVY, and stick it on with olive oil, then let it sit for awhile before grilling. It turns from an interesting mix taste in the bag to pure magic on the grill. The sear, mixed with the fat and oils melting into it truly transform it.

Thanks for the tip! Gonna get some ribeyes for Non-superbowl Sunday! We don't do the sports thing around here. I like sports but not big on watching them on tv!
