Northern Illinois Christmas Bash

Who's up for it? I have just a couple of shots available around Christmas and New year's. We could get togethor for some lunch somewhere and a couple of drinks, and possibly a gift exchange. I'll check the calender for sure and see what days I have available. It will be limited though to I think the day after Christmas and New Year's day. Other days can work if it were to be down by me, but we don't have the selection of places to eat like you other guys do.

I'll check my schedule, as well as some ideas on where. I know there is a BBQ joint down near the Joliet Mall somewhere on 59, right before I55 (I think)

I'll do a little search south of Ron too.

I thought I remember hearing of a place in Yorkville, which is right up Kevin's area (voodoobbq)

Sounds good to me, Greg. I am planning on taking the week after Christmas off. we may be at my sister's place in NW Indiana on Christmas and driving back on the 26th, however.

At this moment the 22nd is open. Of course, we should hear from Mr. CC before we go too far.

But Something has come up in the last 24 hours.

Saturday is now 50/50.

I might even just make a seperate trip on the morning of the 24th.

Might be in Indy this Saturday, or possibly Crown Point.

If you all can set something up, don't wait on me, of course. That dreaded P--- word!

There is so many family things going on.

We might be at either Tiebel's near 45 and 30 or further east on 30 at the banquet hall east of the mall (might be Hobart that far east)

So farking busy. The 2 days that I do have off during this period I won't be going anywhere. Wilkat is probably going to pop in at some point. I have asked some local friends to stop in the store on the afternoon of Christmas eve and have a drink or snack or two. Other than that I have 2 Christmas' 2 host and a slew of recuporating to do on the 2 days that I don't have anything planned for. Gonna have to bow out of this one even though I am the one that brought it up.

The driveway is as far as you'll get...but I'll open up the pop-up for you, it does have heat so you should be ok :wink:

I was monitoring this thread but I too am just too swamped during the Holidays to do any extra curriculars. Maybe some weekend in January or Feb (not 1/19 or 2/16) we can meet at Greg's or somewhere for a brew or two...

Currently, I am looking to drop down this Saturday, the 22nd.

Things on my shopping list:

A Boars Head ham that Greg had a demo at his Octoberfest. Never got a slice, but from the crowds reaction, it will be awesome.

Couple jars of Boars Head glaze. 1 for the ham, more for fatties!!

Some of BillM's Red Head Sauce.

One of them there Carribean Rum Cakes.

Hi Mountain Buck Board Bacon Cure. Any you folks in the Chicagoland area want this stuff, take some time and visit Greg's store. For the cost of shipping you save, you get to meet a great Brethren, and shop in a super cool store. Plenty of other High Mountain stuff too.

And oh yeah, I got a little delivery from Texoma that I plan on "sharing the wealth"
