The event is not sanctioned by any BBQ society. Judging starts at noon on Sunday, March 30, 2008, using the people’s choice judging technique. The contest will consist of one primary category, pork, which may consist of pulled or chopped. You may also choose to cook other categories as you choose, brisket, chicken, pork ribs.
IMPORTANT DATES
• Entries will be limited to six (6) teams. Please provide your site request. We will try to have as much room as you need, but to help us lay out the facility for parking and other activities, please let us know how much room you need.
• The first six (6) teams to qualify, by postmark, will be accepted. Others will be put in a reserve spot just in case of any last minute cancellations. Please do not cancel unless you have an emergency, or can give the next team ample time to respond and accept.
• Setup may begin after noon on Saturday March 29, 2008.
• Meat inspection will between noon and 5pm.
• A brief cook’s meeting will be held at 5pm. Please plan to attend
I have the application almost ready. Hopefully I can have it complete and ready by the first of next week.
IF you are interested, please send me a pm with your email address and I will email you the application. It is possible that we can squeeze in maybe a couple of more teams. I will do some measuring and estimating so please don't let the above scare you if you are interested. The application will have all the details, and if you have any questions after you receive it, my contact info is on it.
