• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

We're doing a shrimp boil this evening instead of que. Tim got me hooked after he brought the fixin's for a boil last fall at Dillard, GA.

I've still got chicken, pork, and brisket in the freezer from a big cook a couple of weeks ago

In the spirit of que I did order 4 cases of butts for next weekend and started buying the paper products, beans, etc. The estimate is still for 400 people next Sunday.

MMMMMMMMM. Shrimp! Dave, are you doing just shrimp, or did you throw in some crab, crawfish, potatoes, corn, onions, or anything else?

No crab this time - shrimp, potatoes, corn, smoked sausage, and onion. Lots of Old Bay and some Franks to spicen things up.

We just did a big boil for Mother's Day. If ya have leftover taters, they make the worlds best potato salad.

OLD BAY????? What happened to the Zaterain's?? Sounds like you conducted a lobster bake!

I miss those. I remember when I lived in Charleston going to either a pig pickin or Shrimp Boil at least 2-3 times a month. I had a friend who lived on a small sailboat and we used to go out lobstering all the time(all the time) and spend the weekend drinkin and eatin. Or times we'd go to someones house and sit outside at the picknick table as they dumped a big pot of crap, cray, shrimp, taters, corn, etc, etc in front of us and we'd all sit around swappin stories, drinking fine spirits and enjoyin the day.

Man, I really miss those days....
