• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

It's gonna be a good year for BBQ!!!:lol::lol:

Pork - this year it will be stuffed pork sausage -

Nurse my head from the night before... then cook pork of some kind (this year it is a couple of racks of spares) along with black eyed peas for luck and collard greens for money.

Our tradition is fried hog jowl, fried cabbage and peas. Always have to have cornbread.

Black-eye peas and collard greens....also I have a standing golf game with my neighbors and will start early on the pitcher of Bloody Marys (hair of the dog)

I've never really had one. Probably never will, just another day to me but I'm glad to be off.

Mimosa's in the hot tub, coffee with character and then creme brule french toast and watch the parades. And after that watch college games till I drop. Can break the diet, no drinking, eat healthy resolutions before noon. Best to get them over with anyway.

A man after my own heart. I honestly don't see the big deal about New Years. It's just another day.

I have the same blessings
I have the same problems
I have the great family
I have the same bills

I try to cherish each and every day as much as I can. If I need to make course corrections I try to do them along the way. No New Year's Resolutions.

Our family tradition for New Years is. The dear wife makes plans about going to someones house. I grumbled and then go.

I get to make brisket chili for New Year's Day and it's the only day of the year I spend my entire day watching football.

I don't want to sound like a New Year's grinch but it just doesn't do it for me. However, now that I know it's the year of the Pig...I might get more excited.

Probably putting on a pot of black eyed peas and ham. May or may not invite the neighbors over to share. Mainly watch football and DREAD the hell out of going back to the office to see if my job is still there for me after these 12 days off. (someone else got laid off the farkin Friday before Christmas) I think I could get used to retirement. Can't swing that at 43 though. LOL!

Back-eyed peas has always been the basic tradition.
(would be glad to start a new one with some Shiners!)

An 18" greasy Giovannis pizza and beer:biggrin:

Pork and sauerkraut of some sort.. I'm smoking tenderloins and armadillo eggs, fixing sauerkraut with champagne vinegar and mashed potatoes. And watching every second of football I can possibly watch in HD.
