My latest UDS. I made the charcoal basket with an adjustable bottom so I could raise it up for grilling. Pizza pan for an ash pan held on with return springs for easy removal. Two short test cooks, sausage and chicken worked great. Hope to be doing a butt this weekend if the weather cooperates.

Kick arse idea on the adjustable coal grate. Amazes me the mods folks come up with for these drums. When you think you've seen it all.............BAAMM!! A new mod comes up. That is sweet. Nice drum. Congrats.

Oh yea, It's still well worth it, I could have scrimped on the cooking grates, and not used stainless fasteners, plus I added a "open bottle here" bottle opener.

Like the paint job !! I may have to use the spring idea for the ash pan mine is wired to the grate. kind of a pain when I have empty the ash with lump in the basket.
