• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I just got for Fathers Day a silver smoker from Char Grill. So far Ismoked a loin of pork(3 chops) . I was experamenting with it, and I think it came out ok, It took about an hour and twenty mins , while adding some more coals and hickory chips. Any advice for this grill or for me just starting out smokin? How ae the hardwood lump coals?
Any help or advice would be great,

Hey Tinysmoker, and welcome to the site! Lots of good guys and great advice here. Low and slow is the law of the land. If I use coals, I use only hardwood lump, and you can taste the difference. I usually cook a pork loin about three to four hours at 225 then baste and foil for thirty minutes to rest, but I'm sure I would eat it however its cooked :-). Welcome again, and post often...we love to hear about good food!
