New Texan

Hi, everyone.

I found this site looking for build ideas. I wore out another New Braunfels smoker from Academy, so I decided to build a vertical smoker with offset firebox out of a couple of compressors that took a dump on me. An old 80 gallon that the compressor pump went out, and a newer 33 gallon Craftsman with plastic pistons. When the 80 gallon went out, I used the 33 gallon for a few days to run a auto body/welding shop. Was too much I guess. It lasted for 3 days.

Anyway, I'm from central Texas. Own a welding company that I lease property from my families auto body shop. And, thought I'd say hi.

I have some family friends that live out in Kingsland. Used to get out there quite a bit. They used to have a trailer on Arrow Head Trail when I was a kid and later built a house at Deer Forest & Fawn Ridge.
