• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Well, thanks to some great info from some generous forum members, and a patient wife, I have finally got the Santa Maria Pit built. I will still cover the block with a stone veneer when we get the pavers, fire pit, and built-ins for the gasser and pellet grill all done. I can't wait to fire it up and burn it in. Once I fire it and clean the grill really well, I will rub some cooking oil on it to keep it sealed. I see some backyard fun coming up.

Looks awesome mate, will you be sealing the Concrete Bricks?

I've never cooked on one, but I have seen some awesome food cooked on them on TV. A show called Man, Fire, Food had a nice segment showing the grill. I hope you enjoy it. Break out the tri-tips!

Cooking over fire is the BEST! Beautiful pit.. Now if you can find some kind of lid you'll be amazed how well it can cook that way too.
