Hello, I am Joe W from Connecticut.

I've been doing BBQ since 2003 when I got a grill / smoker combo for Father's Day. I hooked up with Nancee and Greg of Purple Turtle and my first comp experience was in 2004 when Purple Turtle took GC at Poudunk using WSMs. Went home and within 2 weeks I had my own WSM.

I help them out when I can, I have 2 younger children, so sometimes hard to get away.

It was great meeting some of you at Daisy May's, Grilling on the Bay (this past Saturday), and our short visit Saturday night on Long Island

I primarly use my WSM, but also have a Big Easy, and portable Smokin Tex.

Welcome. Glad to have you. I lived in Enfield CT for a few years, loved the weather, we used to make maple syrup every year. That was a lot of work for so little end product, but well worth it.
