Got my new Blackstone griddle in the mail 2 days ago and just had to brag to somebody. It's LP gas bottle, four cast iron burners(72k btu), 36in wide and I think 22" deep. You wanna talk about a Hoss. Cooked on tonight and think am in love. Anybody else ever used this rig or experience with it or one similiar.

that is NICE!! good buy. i'd love to get one of those. i like making something called a parrillada. it's a grilled mixture of beef, sausage, chicken, bacon, onions, jalapenos, served in a tortilla with fresh hot sauce!

Made standard breakfast with no Pron, sorry. Just testing out and if this thing holds up 5 yrs is well worth it for me. Built like a tank and easy to assemble. Seasoned it like 4 times already, overkill I know.

3 Burners on lowest setting was almost to hot. Guess I will see how the gas holds up over time. Not like I will use everyday. Can get grill top for it but honestly not into gassers much. Just a new toy for Daddy!

Similar, yeah...

I have this 37" griddle for the older version of this stove. I've used the stove a lot, the griddle I've only had for less than 2 years. I enjoy cooking on it. Among other things, we like to tailgate at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Parade every year - full breakfast including mimosas at about 5AM! Last year was bacon, two kinds of sausage, hash browns, grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms, eggs to order and pancakes, plain and blueberry. I've done things other than breakfast while camping, though I do a lot of cooking over the fire then. Things I've learned - it's easy to get it too hot, though I'm sure mine is more prone to that than yours as mine is only three burners @ 30,000 btu each, yours is 4 burners totaling 72,000 btu. If you're doing something like a lot of bacon for a group, load it up cold then bring it up to temp, it cooks gently and you can slow it down as you reach the cooking level you like - no burning bacon while you are still putting on the raw ones. Cleaning is like other cast-iron, and super simple - turn the heat up, pour on some water...it'll boil and steam right away, scrape with your spatula and/or a nylon brush until all food particles are gone, which is real quick. when cool, wipe with a little oil and put away. This all assumes that it is properly seasoned, of course. Have fun!

Thanks Cheez ! The tips sound helpful as I am new to griddling of any size. Can't wait to throw peppers, hash browns, philly cheese, oh my head is spinning from what I want to try next LOL!

I got the stove years ago at Sam's, it was clearanced or I probably wouldn't have bought it. I bought the griddle and (seperately) a nice carrying case for it at Cabela's. The stove has been used for camping, both family and boy scouts, for turkey frying, and a favorite of ours, "fry night".... a couple pots of frying oil on it, we fry wings, chicken fingers, fries, onion rings, etc... not necessarily all the same evening, but some combination like that. It's an outdoor on-the-patio sort of thing - keeps the mess and smell outside. Just a different outdoor cooking experience than the grill or smoker...gotta have a little variety!

Would love to take out camping but didn't expect it to be so heavy. It is gonna be great cooking alot of breakfast on I hope. Cook for lots of kid team breakfast, which is main reason for getting. For the price ($290) free shipping, couldn't resist trying.

I got a two burner unit at many years ago added a heavy steel griddle. Recently upgraded to a three burner. I found having a few bacon presses available to be a huge benefit. when using the burners straight I find a heat diffuser is essential for everything except boiling water.
Enjoy!
