New from NY

Hi everyone,
Found my way over to cattlecall after posting a question on Q about building a clay pot smoker (not for dope!) that I'd seen on tv. Newly retired, live on Long Island, Northport, specifically. My only encounters with bbq have been from traveling to North Carolina to my sisters home for big pig roasts and q's.
Think I found a new hobby! REady to fire up my new smoker and give it a whirl. Just found out that the grand poobah of your group lives only 15 minutes from me. Have to check him out at the bbq event in a couple of weeks put on by grillkings.
