• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Picked this up tonight in Jamaica, Queens. It is a Thermos brand 18.5 x 18.5 charcoal grill manufactured in China for target.

Lucky for me the guy met me at the curb. He is moving and I know why. It was not the sort of place where you start inspecting a $10 grill. I was ready for the parts issues, and they started before I even got home. I was about 5 minutes away when the guy calls to tell me he went back up to his apartment and found the wheels on the floor. He was really cool about it and tried to give me back a few bucks for the trouble. I could not take it from him, even though trying to turn around on the Van Wyck expressway put us right in the middle of Kennedy Airport.

I finally opened it up and as the subject line says. I think I have all of the major parts, but can not be sure because I can only go by the picture of the closed grill on the box. there are four hinge pieces two big and two smaller, I am gonna have to try to recall my High School physics on friday when I figure that out.

I bought this for Grill Kings on saturday, so on friday in addition to all prep I have to buy all of the mising Nuts and Bolts, assemble and break down my new grill and try to get a jump on packing my car. All of this before heading to the Yankee game.

By the way my wife thinks you are all going to laugh at me with our pitiful setup. Anyone who admires our setup in earshot of my wife gets a free beer and a pork chop. And we will be easy to spot, we will be the team with no banner, patio furniture, beach chairs and two of the cheapest grills/smokers money can buy.

Check out the manufacturers website. They should have a parts list and instructions.

Just enjoy yourself and do plenty of schmoozing. Anyone can win on any given day.

If I also say I'm jealous of the setup can I get two beers?

With this bunch I suggest you buy more beer!

According to the Thermos web site it is manufactured by CharBroil but no info there either. So trial and error it will be.

Does anyone know where I can stock up on PBR?

this might be a bit long and sentimental but here goes.
my other obsession aside from bbq is the conga drums! conga drums were originally made from rum barrels with goat skin stretched over the openings as slaves tried to simulate african style drums. these days you can buy drums for almost a thousand each,
http://www.latinpercussion.com/Product_Showcase/Congas/gio-pal-conga.html
but some of the best drummers down in cuba can be found playing the original ones
http://www.pacifier.com/~drum/CUBAgallery/pages/origin.htm
smokers are the same thing. original ones were fashioned out of what was available. cinder blocks, bed springs, 55 gallon drums and even rum barrels.
therefore, your setup at grill kings would in the words of those old congueros be "in the tradition" and for this i would like to say that i admire it! good luck at grill kings!
