• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I have found this Klose pit. It is missing the firebox but he has the door. He does not know much about it. It looks kind of like a Backyard Chef, but not exactly. Does anyone know what model this might be?

I have asked him for more info like dimensions, and for more photos but this is what I have for now. I have access to metal for the firebox and I have a welder so it could be a good deal if the rest is in good shape-he says it is. I am posting this hoping someone won't buy it out from under me, so please give me a first shot. Or if you have already seen this ad and know something about it-good or bad-I would appreciate that too.

Thanks!

I would contact Klose Pits, have Dana come to this website and she can tell you.
She is a member of this forum.

Yes, but the jackstand is going where I think there would be an opening and it has uprights on the right side that I don't think the convection one would have. I have asked for more photos and some dimensions. I'll see what happens. Thanks!

is there a serial # in the chamber?

Yeah it kinda looks like a BYC to me but could be some custom job. Ask Klose about it to be sure.

It looks like a BYC, probably burn out the fire box and just cut it off. It's an oldie for sure the newer Klose pits have the temp gauge mounted lower on the box.

Look inside the main chamber of the pit for a large welding bead serial number if it one of the newer pits it should have the serial # in barrel, I had a really old Klose BYC and it did not have the # welded in the barrel it was so old. I've been to Klose's facility many times I live about a mile away.

Give them a call they should be open on Saturday till 3:00 if I'm not mistaken.
