• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

What an epic cock-up
Somewhere I stuffed up badly.
I sealed these Cheeks and smoked them fo about hour.
Added to our New slow cooker thingie and slow cooked for over 8 hours.
You could reline your Scooting Boots with them
Thank god for pre Cooked food in the Freezer?
No idea where I went wrong:twitch:
Thankfully I drink and sometimes don't care

Hey it happens.:noidea:

Thanks for the honest post; I was beginning to think you Aussies were flawless and was getting a complex!

Hmm, did it render too much maybe? I've only braised them. Maybe try panning them in the smoker with some liquid next time and got til tender.

These were braised. I'm going to do that next time in the smoker. But oven was fantastic too.

Well, fark. I thought you were just "being cheeky."

Sorry, Titch. *sigh*

I've only ever done these on the grill over light indirect temps (225-250F). Boo.

Sorry to hear about the fail...but at the same time I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only failed poster. You will get it...all we can do is try try again

Shoot. Sorry to hear the cheeks were tough! I've only braised them in liquid til tender first, then reheated them outside on the cooker. Hope you don't give up on them, they are really tasty when tender!

I won't give up on them I love them
I did as I have always done but used a different slow cooker.
I may trash it I think:loco:
