Here is one straight out of Murphy's law book. Awhile back I posted a thread asking if anyone ever had their grease bucket taken by an animal, the likely suspect was either a raccoon, or a dog, it was neither.
We have not had rain for awhile now, but after my tri-tip cook this evening, I decided to put on my cover sense the forecast is for some heavy rain, for the next 7 days at this time. The cover has set by the front door sense the last cook it was taken off. I took it out to place it on the pellet grill, when I found the missing pale inside the cover with of course the grease dumped into the underside of the tarp. Guess it snagged on the cover, and has been there every since. I was able to turn it inside out and wash it down, this removed most of it, plan on taking some dish soap and a brush to it. The worst part is some did spill out on the edge of the carpet where it meets the floor tile, but I have to consider myself very lucky it was not a much worse mess. The carpet will need some work to get it out, but so far it is coming out ok.
The cover has a very strong elastic band around the bottom, which been thinking of cutting in a couple places making it easier to put on, and take off.
I would never in a million years thought that is where the bucket was all this time.
