Mother's Day Surf and Turf

I asked the wife what she wanted for Mother's Day dinner. She said I didn't have to cook anything. I said I was going to cook any ways, how about steak, scallops, poppers, and some mushrooms. She said that sounded good.

Yeah, it didn't suck.

Yeah, she's Korean and eats a lot of Asian food during the week, but her favorite American dish is a steak, so we get along alright. We both only ate about half the steak each. Leftovers for me!

How do you keep the gasser from flaming up when you are cooking the bacon wrapped stuff?

Indirect cooking John. The Weber Genesis has three main burners and a sear burner between the left and center burners. I had the left burner and the sear burner on high, and the center and right burners off. Was running about 400* indirect. Did the mushrooms in a grill pan over the flames and everything else on the cooler side. Threw the steak on the upside down Grill Grates over the flames to finish them.
