• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Opened the bag and I'm like WTH?? Anyone else ever run into this?? I've had this bag for a month (I store them in plastic bins). I tossed it and got another one and it's fine (both purchased at the same time).

 That's sick!! You have a neighbor you don't like? Seems like an appropriate time to offer to cook him dinner!

Yup, I just had a bag of that same kind do the exact same thing. It had been rained on a very little bit at a BBQ get together when a quick storm popped up was the most likely cause I guess. I had had that happen before though and never grew mold.

Any chance yours had gotten wet as well?

The bags came from home-depot and went into the storage bins, maybe a moisture build up? I've stored charcoal this way for several years now. Maybe it got damp on the way to the store.

Definitely got wet somewhere. I would guess in transit to the store. I have seen this happen before, when I left a bag out unprotected from the weather. My fault though.

Don't tell me my 1000000000 lbs. of Rancher is in jeopardy:mad:

My first guess would be Cat pee! Hey, if it's mold who cares, just means your meat will have had an antibiotic fire on it, hell that has to be healthy!

I had the same thing on some Kingsford that I was storing in my deck box. I guess it got damp somehow and molded...I tossed it. I now store all my charcoal in the garage...high and dry!
