followed Alton's Mini Man Burger recipe http://bit.ly/3wKhxv, done on the Traeger with Maple Pellets (that's all we had at the time) on High for 5 minutes, each burger would be about 2 oz.

buttered the buns and threw them on the grill for a couple minutes

added some smoked bacon and cheddar cheese, and done! They were so delicious with a subtle garlic onion flavour. We only topped with a bit of Hellmann's olive oil mayo.

I like to take a little butter and toast the buns on the flat-top for sliders. :)
 
Great idea with the minis. Every year I host a 4th of july party and serve burgers first to satisfy the impatient while the low and slow stuff finishes. Minis might be the way to go next year.
