• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

This probably should go in to the reciepe section but what the hell.

Dunlap wanted this reciepe.

I had to drive to Athens TX Sat. morning and left with the blonde unit I live with to take her son to boy scout camp. We didn't have time for breakfast - so I see this Mexican place on US 175 right in the middle of town.......... we stop on the way back from Camp Cherokee and it is to die for. They brought out q big ass jar or salsa and a big ass jar of green sauce. This is some good stuff.

Angela, my better half, isn't shy, so she walked up to this good lookin' gal and says "How do you make that green stuff?"

Here goes: My way

take a bunch of Anihiem or Hatch Peppers
and an onion
and throw them on the grill
Roast till ready
Then seed and stem and put in a blender
with about 3 or 4 avacado's
Blend to a pulp

ADD ons

Japs
garlic
any hot peppers

Takes 3 Bud's to make the batch.

Welcome, Quinn the Eskimo.

I drank 3 Budwiesers by the time I finished the receipe.

But any cold beverage will do.

I use to live in Athens, TX like 20 yrs. ago, do you remember the name? We used to go to a place called "Down Mexico Way" I think? just a kid at the time, I doubt this is the same place.

Ahh, tres amigos. Gracious. 8)

Taqueria Restaurant Jalisco is the place that had the green sauce.

It is right in the middle of Athens on US 175.

Very good Mexican food and they had a sign on the front door that said they had applied for a beer and wine license, so I hope the next time I go, I can have a couple of Corona's with my meal.
