Anyone know where I can get something like this metal pan under this WSM? Auto supply???? I want something I can put under my front two casters to catch all the ash that drops out of my charcoal box when I pull it out.

thanks

Might check a plumbing supply house for a water heater pan. don't know if they come in metal, but it might be worth checking.

Home Depot sells grill pans that I put underneath my 'dera. Has worked very well for me thus far and has bout a 1" lip

KC, I have one that I use all the time that I bought at our local Autozone. They are $10 and work great. I start my chimneys on it so I dont score the asphalt parking lot where I live.

Auto Parts stores. I got mine at Auto Zone for less than $10. They save a lot of stain scrubbing on concrete and wooden decks.

Auto parts store for the oil drip pan. I've been using 20" inch pizza pans under my 2 WSM's and just recently placed one in the bottom of my UDS as an ash catcher under my fire basket. Local restaurant supply has the aluminium (8.00) and the stainless (10.00) pizza pans. When using as an ash catcher in the UDS, they don't effect my firebasket height very much, and I hope they help save the bottom of the drum in doing so. They work will under the WSM's, don't take up as much space on my deck, something less for my goofie butt to trip over.

Cool, I have an Auto Zone close to my house. I'll swing in there this weekend.

I used mine under my WSM on my wood deck and it worked great. FYI never start a chimney on the drip pan if it is on a wood deck. I learned the hard way once and yes alcohol was a factor

The part of the pan underneath the hot chimmney will warp and bubble upward, but goes back to normal when you remove the chimmney and the pan cools off. I learned this one a week ago when I set the chimmney on the pan. Alcohol involved too! I took the chimmney off and saw a big ol upraised dimmple on the pan. It went away as soon as it cooled. These pans work really nice. I got it for my leaky GOSM.

I have my WSMs sitting on a low purpose built table with no pan under them. Then again the table isn't on the deck.
I use a Smokey Joe to set my chimney on when I light it.

I too have the alcohol/chimney stain in my driveway, I use the gasser out back now to hold the hot chimney off the ground. That was easier than avoiding alcohol

I got one at Autozone too I think it was....I put some water in the pan when I had it under my ECB....just in case a hot coal fell out , it was put out in the water.....and keeps ashes from blowing all around as well.

2 firebricks will save driveways from the chimney. And leave just a little room for air to draw up between them and it gets the coals going nice/
