aren't there some metal fabricaters here ? i suggest looking into making the weber slide aside as weber has discontinued it and folks are still wanting them. i know there are patent issues but ???

Try rephrasing your question and maybe a pic if possible of the hardware you're referring to. As for patent infringement, I wouldn't worry about it unless you plan to go into production.

my apologies. i assumed again. its the slide aside that goes on a weber kettle. it holds the lid on the side. folks are still looking for them but weber discontinued it. handy little thing. i got two and want more.

Yup; appears to be a discontinued item. You can probably fabricate a crude clone out of rebar. Or look for one on ebay. Or contact Weber and ask them to bring it back.

yea, i have no way of doing all the bends but i might be able to weld up something. weber won't bring it back. they don't listen to anyone. sad.
