This may sound stupid but if you get an invite to the Royal, Jack or GAB (or any actually) Invitationals, do you also have to pay an entry fee to cook the Invitational part or not? I would guess the open in the Royal and Jack, you'd still have to pay but never thought about it for the Invitationals.

The Jack invite is free of all cost of entering. AS for the AR not sure they may give you the chance to roll your entry fee over or something like that. As soon as I get invited to both of those I will let you know...unless you go first

Hi there - we have yet to get invited to the Royal or the Jack...we have missed it by half a point TWICE ....boo hoo...but anyway...we did get invited to cook the Best Of The Best in Georgia (very good time) and YES - you still have to pay the entry fee, at least for that one. I am thinkin', if you win it, they let you come back the following year for nuthin', but I could be wrong on that.

We just recieved our invite to the Royal. There is no entry fee - you just pay for your meat. You recieve a 25' x 20' spot but if you are not cooking the open you have to vacate by 4:00 on Friday.

We cooked both the invite Royal and GAB and no entry fee for the invite just for the open.

No entry fee for the GAB invitational

Big entry fee for the Best of the Best invitational. That's one of the reasons we have never gone. That and it's in the middle of nowhere.
