Since we got her home Thursday night, she has been pumping smoke more than she hasnt. Friday morning I lit it up to do a season burn. Why waste the smoke, right. So on with some sausages and wings. EVerything went smooth, so I ran to the grocery store and got three slabs of spares. Seasoned up an on teh smoker they went. Ribs for dinner. Sorry no pics. But they were awesome. This morning I got up and fired it back up. My b-in-law is is here from Colorado. I always load him up with goodies for him to take home. I did 2 pork butts and a brisket for him. Shortly after I got that on, my buddy that helped me build my pit came over. He wanted something for his mom and a guy he works with. So back to the grocery store, two more briskets and another butt. The butts came out ok, I think I ran it a little hot and then pulled thema little early. They tasted good, but wouldnt shred. The briskets were outstanding though. Very moist and tender. Great bark.
But those werent for dinner, so we had to have something else. I made up some moink balls and white wings. Moinks are covered here, but I haven't ever seen anyone do white wings. Basically the same thing but chicken breast instead of ground meat. Jalepeno and monterey jack in the middle, wrapped in bacon. I also threw on some corn and a pan of squash.
Heres a shot of teh white wings and moinks.

The cooker has done better than expected. I am getting to know it well, and once I get it locked in at temp, it will hum along for hours. I couldnt be happier.

Yeah I cooked for family that was in town and neighbors all wekeend. Never thought I'd here my wife say it, but she asked me yesterday if we could have something beside bbq. So I fried catish and hush puppies for dinner.

Here is the pit.
