• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

It's a nice looking grill but for that price you can get a LSG 36 x 24 offset for less than that, more cooking space and comes with a grill and griddle above the fire box. It does have a pretty small footprint though.

It reminded me of a hasty bake also. Looks like a nice grill but not sure it should fall into the 2k category. At that price there are probably a few others I would rather have.

I echo your thoughts exactly. Those nice big charcoal grills are all expensive though. Assassin's charcoal grill is about the only one that is affordable but you can't raise and lower the charcoal grate like you can in the M1.

I'm intrigued... But for $2k... I think their price point is a little high. If they were in the $1600 range I would be more interested.

For the price I don't think you can beat an Assassin Grill but if you need it delivered you have to factor that in and Hasty Bake is shipped for free if you order from BPS. Of course neither can burn splits like the M1, like I noted above you can get a lot more for your money elsewhere, IMO.

I'm always on the lookout for a nice charcoal/wood burning grill. I'm building a 20x60 offset so I don't need the space for smoking meat. And I have the Llarge BGE and gasser for most other grilling needs. But I would really like a large charcoal grill for when we have people over and as an option for when I sell the gasser.

The only LARGE charcoal grills I have found is this one, the assassin, and then LSG/Pitmaker make a really nice grill but it is super expensive as well.

Someone needs to convince the Shirley crew to make a grill similar to what M1 offers

I'd like an M1 for my collection but I'd prefer it to be a Garand.

I got that email today and checked it out. I'm actually glad it's so expensive because I would have been tempted otherwise, even though I already have a HB (love it)

The concept is really a cool one. Basically a hasty and stickburner hybrid. Maybe I'll save my pennies and see how far I get...
