Lunch with DRBBQ, Dirty Dick, Ford, and Dan Watson

Had a great lunch on Friday with several BBQ Brethern. Dan Watson (Long Dawgs Blue Smoke) and I (Billy Carroll-DoRagQ) met Ray Lampe, Dirty Dick, & Ford at Paradise Ridge Grille in West Nashville. Ray has known Buddy & Charlie for a number of years and always likes to stop in when he is in town. Paradise Ridge is mentioned in Ray's new book "Dr. BBQ's Big-Time Roadtrip" which I highly reccomend. It was great listening to Ford, Dick, & Ray talk about their travels & experiences. I wished they could have stayed longer, but they had an appointment to make.

Dan & I are locals so we decided to hang out for a few cold ones. Buddy came over and introduced himself and mentioned that we were hanging with some shady BBQ'ers. For the next 90 minutes we listened like two kids to a true BBQ Legend tell us story after story of his travels and experiences. Wow what a day. And the food was top notch! I highly reccomend the Catfish (so does Ray)! I did get some BBQ to go and purchased some rub, sauce, & hot sauce. Buddy invited us back anytime. I think I may make it a regular weekly stop. Who knows, maybe he will give me a secret or two! Truly a day that I will remember for a long time. BBQ people are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!

Did Dick discuss any team mergers? Vinny was set up next to a team he was hanging out with last weekend. They came up with some real winners!
