• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

SF Bay...
For those local in the Bay Area where do you find good lump coal? I had been using the fogo lump from Amazon but the price got super expensive over the last few years. Switched to royal oak from Home Depot. Not the best but pricing is better than the fogo. Thanks!

you have an xl egg, so eggs by the bay in santa clara. tell smitty hi from the ceramic grill store.

The "Bay Area" is quite large, perhaps if you could tell us where you're located, it would be easier to give you some advice.

I buy all mine, from Bart's Blazin' Q in Livermore. He carries Royal Oak, Lazzari Oak, Lazzari Mesquite, and Big Green Egg brands...great prices too.

Tim thanks for the info. I live in San Ramon and work in San Jose so it's easy to stop by any place in between. Otherwise i am in SF and the peninsula atleast a few times a month. Thanks

Oh man, if I lived in San Ramon, I would hit up Bart's Blazin' Q in Livermore, that is where I buy my charcoal, and other stuff, in most cases, he can beat Lazzari on price, even if you are buying Lazzari. If you lived on the Peninsula, then hitting Lazzari, or Eggs by the Bay, both decent options.

You might take a look at Smart and Final in Pleasanton. I've bought Lazzari there, but don't burn enough to really track the price.

Sweet guys. Thanks for the info. Did not know about Bart's. I'll check it out soon. I have a new LSG insulated cabinet smoker on the way and suspect I am going to need a lot more coal as everyone wants more BBQ. Thanks!
