• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

We get to cook for the CBJ class this Saturday, so will get to do what for me will be a big, one time cook on the new WholeHog, 2 14# Bk, 2 9# butts, and 5 racks of St louis spares, not sure when or on what Kristin will cook the 30 or so pieces of chicken!

Should be a great first run! Thought I would put on all the meat to see how it was going to fit! The nice thing about this unit over the Traeger is the depth! I will be able to get both brisket and both butt on one unit! We only cook 1 of each in a competition, so those will be a piece of cake! The ribs are 2 to a pack, I will put 4 on the right and the other 2 on the second shelf. kristin will be cooking the chicken seperatly, just wanted to show the capacity with the second shelf!

Don't forget competition rule number one!!

"Remove plastic before cooking."

OK, I'm going to my room now.

But good luck!!!

Don't feel bad,

The firsttime I deep fryed a turkey for the family Idid not realize that there was a plastic gizzard bag inside. Needless to say I have not lived that one down.

Don't forget to take out that stupid farkin' pop-up POS also. Not that that has ever happened:icon_blush:.

I just learned I am to cook, 3 brisket, 3 butts, 14 RACKS of ribs, 40 thighs, 20 drumsticks, and 16 half breast! Seems like way to much food for 30 judges, but they tell me they are doing 3 boxes of each meat, CBJ class must have changed an aweful lot since I was trained by Ed at the Royal in 2003!

Dude, you better run out and buy another cooker first!!
That seems like a lot of groceries for that unit.

I will never cook for a CBJ class where I cannot cook the meat and turn it in the same day. Some of the worst BBQ I have ever had the balls to present! One thing I know, the people in that class got to taste BAD BBQ!
