Quintessential Chatty Farker
Had two vaca days left so I took yesterday and Monday off for a long weekend. V-days are like nukes, use 'em or lose 'em. Yesterday I made two batches of 12 egg pasta one with spinach one with out and 6 qts. of spaghetti sauce. This morning I started at 4:45 mixing bread stick dough and then rolled out 400 bread sticks (basil and garlic) along with rolling out the pasta dough for fettuccini and lasgna pasta. Just fired up the Weber Performer to smoke some pork steaks for dinner along with some diced red potatoes and onions. Tomorrow I'll roll out another 200 bread sticks then we're having wifey's coworkers over dinner which will be the spinach fettuccini with meat sauce and pork center loin roast stuffed with Italian sausage, sun dried tomatos, basil and provolone. Monday's plans are for another 400 bread sticks, 100 tortlocci (large ravioli stuffed with riccotta cheese and spinach), 300 tortillini, and two pans of Christmas Lasagna (using both regular and spinach lasgna pasta). This lasgna almost looks better than it tastes, very festive dish for the Christmas season.
