• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Any recommendations on the thick rubber gloves for Que handling?

Ty

Ty......for future reference, you can get them at AutoZone or Grainger (if you have an account with them). The Grainger part number is 3BA50 and attached is a pic of what they look like. They're cotton "jersey" gloves on the inside with a PVC coating on the outside.

If you can hold off til the end of this week, I'll send you a couple of pair. Better yet, I'll just send you a couple of pair anyways.

I was going to say condition your hands but this is Q-Talk.

I'm pretty happy with the ones I got from Tejas Smokers.

http://www.tejassmokers.com/options.htm#9022

Temperature resistant neoprene-coated, insulated gloves These insulated gloves are temperature resistant to 250F and are FDA approved for handling food. They are NOT for use over a direct flame or when direct grilling items. Use of these lined gloves instead of tongs and forks will keep you from poking holes and scarring the meats and thereby risk losing juices while smoking. Size 10...comfortably fits a large hand. Free shipping.

Your title put the "Lookin for Love" song in my head.

Thanks ya farker.

I got these gloves... These are the same gloves that are being sold by a Tx BBQ Rub outfit for $10 a pair. You have to buy a dozen pairs but... get together with a couple of friends...

These really are the best gloves I've found for working meat in and around the pit... PVC coated and they handle the heat really well.

HtHs,
James.

U got the lobster claws? What place is selling them for $10? How do u like them? Can u pull your pork with them on?

Sorry, I forgot to paste the URL for the gloves I was talking about. You posted while I was editing the original post.

These are not the lobster claws, but 14" Black PVC coated gloves. Check them out on the link in my post above. These make for great BBQ gloves! to wash, just put them on and wash my hands and then dry them off... You can pull pork, operate a knife or tongs etc...

Cool deal. I think the ones without the cuff will be better cause they're easier to clean but let me know.
