Looking for Central FL BBQ stores

The wife and I are going to Brandon/Tampa tomorrow and I was wondering if there were any BBQ stores in the area. I live in Lakeland so I am in between Orlando and Tampa. I vaguely seem to recall a store somewhere close to Brandon Town Cetner, don't know if it's still there anymore.
I'd like to find some place that sells the Bandera so I can get a feel for it and help me choose between that and the BSKD.

What about Lowes or Home Depot?

I think the forum labeled "For Sale" might be the one with the thread on the Lowes SKU# of the dera.

Have them look it up in the system, and see if they'll transfer it to your locale.

Just a thought.

Here is a cut and paste from the RoadMap in Que Section:

SKUs' for Bandera and Brinkman.

Sometimes, you need the SKU to get the store to find one and have it transfered in,

Bandera SKU for Lowes is 133-742
Lowes SKU for Brinkman Smoke King Deluxe is 78507

These are from several places on the forum--Search under "quest" for the saga of finding and buying these smokers.
Sometimes real hard to find!

Just found a typo in the roadmap thread, I will go back and edit--The Dera is a Home Depot SKU, not Lowe's.

I think the closest Bandera will be in Ga--that is where mine was transfered in from.
Check local Home Depot and see if they can have one shipped in for you--they pay the freight that way.
As to differences--structurally flip a coin between Dera and BSKD.
BKSD has no firegrate racks, but I sent you the answer there.
BKSD has more "toys".
They both work the same with Mods.

Hey, thanks for the info. I was also wondering if there were any Grill stores around the Tampa area. I'll be heading over that way today and since I'm in the area I figured I'd check them out. I want to buy some things that I just can't find at a Lowe's/Depot, like a sauce mop and such.

There's one on Keene/Starkey Road between Ulmerton Road and East Bay in Largo. They do custom kitchens and carry a lot of high end gas grills and outdoor kichen equipment. They also carry some small patio smokers like Mecco and such - some Weber stuff. They also have a selection of salsas, rubs, seasonings, sauces and wood.

You won't find Bandera models in grill stores! WalMart over this way did carry them but I haven't seen one on display lately.

I know I've looked around online at places like Walmart, HomeDepot and such and haven't seen much in the way of Banderas locally. The closest I've found was a place up in Pensacola that has them listed online for around $190.00. I went to HD's website and used the SKU# from the above post but nothing came up on the site. The only other places I've found online are charginf $300-400 for a Bandera, not sure if that includes shipping though.

Online some places ask about $400-500 for the Bandera - sometimes that includes shipping.

You just about have to go to the Walmarts - some local stores will have them but they won't list them on-line.
