I awoke this morning at 4AM (my usual workday hour) and walked into the front yard to fetch the paper only to discover some thugs had smashed the window of our vehicle and ripped off my BBQ knife set, my stereo, my bible and all of my CD's (hope the leeches like C&W and Contemporary Christian music!)

I spent 2 years compiling that knife set for the day when I would own a mobile pit. Same time frame collecting the CD's and why would a thief take a bible?

If any of you Brethren have any old knives for sale, I'm interested as I cannot afford to replace them with a new collection.

Guppie (hates lemons)

Almost sounds like a personal hit.
Sorry to hear it.
I hate theives!!!!

Dang, Guppie.... Hopefully insurance money will let you buy all new knives & stuff...

That sucks, Guppie! I hope the police can find the guys before they have a chance to sell the knives! (Wishful thinking, I know...)

Sorry to hear about that Guppie. You never know what some pinhead will be willing to break into your car for. I had a nice stereo stolen once and replaced it with the old POS that I had taken out when I got the nice one. Apparently it proved too tempting to resist as well and they smashed my window and took that too. I mean this thing was missing knobs and pieces and all, but they still decided they had to have it.
The part that really got me was that it had been raining really hard since the night before so my car was filled with water when I found it and I had spent the night listening to someone else's car alarm that was being set off by the hard rain (one of those darned talking alarms).

Sorry to hear that. I don't know why but I getting the feeling it might be someone you know.

hey bud sorry to hear it .. my truck has been hit 5 times in the last 2 years.. what i get for having a rolling mobile audio show lol.. but the good thing is when all my cds and etc got stolen what my car insurance didnt cover my renters/home owners insurance covered with a minimal deductible. if u can find proof your knives and cds ( like the jewel cases) u can claim them through your homeowners policy. when my cds got stolen, several hundred of them. my renters policy paid me close to 1200$ for them. Ive lost 2 stereos, tool box, duffle bag w/ jumpercables and trailer hitches in them( i bet they were pissed when they opened that up lol along witht the tool box that had a hammer and some craftsmen wrenches (lol) and have replaced 5 windows and tint( im starting to get a we feel sorry for u discount at the audio store and window shop)
almost caught the last guy, he hit me while i was at work. heard my alarm came out back and there he was sitting in my truck tearin my dash all to POOPIE. didnt get the stereo though

Yea, FatDaddy, I got a shot at the last dude who broke into my car. I missed, on purpose, but I think I smelled his shorts as he ran away. Think maybe he will avoid my driveway in the future.
I have had four break-ins to my cars, and one stolen car, in the last two years. It all sucks, and the insurance never really compensates for the loss.

They may have taken the Bible thinking you stashed cash or something personal inside.

May all thieves rot in hell!!! These scum bags are a disgrace to society. Who teaches these people that you can take whatever you want. I can tell you one thing, they best not let me catch them. I don't shoot to miss, but they may be in some pain until the next shot gets them. If you haven't figured it out by now I have a very low tolerance for crooks. OK....off soapbox

Not sure of the size of town you live in but I would notify all pawn shops in the area, perhaps even the audio install places. I lost a boat motor once, I personally visited every pawn shop and marina from Marathon to Key West. Guess what, the sheriff showed up at my door about 1 month later with my motor. It seems the people that stole it could not git rid of it. Put the word you have nothing to lose. The sad part is if you dont do it no one else will. Most police departments really don't care if you get the stuff back or not. Perhaps they are part of the problem. Opps, put that soapbox up.

Nothin' worse than a thief! Sorry about your situation, Guppie. Just remember that there's a law higher than that of man. That scumbag will get his sooner or later.

Like VitaminQ says, "Nothiin' wors thean a thief"

All I know is what comes around goes around.
Whoever it was will get what they deserve someday

I was sitting out in the driveway with the garage door up last weekend for an all-night-brisket-smoke-a-thon when a car drove by slowly and the driver noticed my garage door was up. He stopped, turned off his lights and backed up.

I could clearly see this guy looking into the garage from the car. What puzzled me is that he never noticed me sitting next to my smoker (which was bellowing out that sweet blue smoke.)

I had a Streamlight XL-20 flashlight in my lap so I blasted him square in the face with the beam and asked, "Can I help you find something?"

He left 300 miles worth of tread on the road as he sped away from the house. I wish I had pointed my laser-sighted Glock at his chest and asked, "Am I aiming at your head?"

It would have been fun to hear the bowel movement amidst the screeching tires.

I'm an ex-cop from Phoenix and have a really low tolerance level for those who "borrow" from others.

What model of car?
What was the license number?
What color hair?
What facial features? (beard / mustache etc.)

Well that won't matter........he didn't break any laws....
I can just hear it..........
Doesn't that just piss you off?
You should have let them get out of the car and approach your
garage........then hit em with that flashlight like a good cop would do.

I got tired of people breaking my windows to steal my stereos too.
I finally got so pissed I installed one and then glued single edge razor blades all over it with silicone.
The ex sold the car to someone. I wonder if she ever told them about it.
